YesEarth Eco Consulting, in strategic partnership with the School of Livelihood and Rural Development (SLRD), is advancing its commitment to sustainable development through impactful engagement with the Government of Mizoram.
In a recent series of high-level meetings, Shri Abhijit Sharma, CEO of YesEarth Eco Consulting and Mission Director of SLRD, met with Shri Lalthansanga, Honourable Minister for Environment, Forests & Climate Change, and Shri Rajeev Kumar Tiwari, IFoS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), Government of Mizoram. The discussions focused on the joint vision for a climate and disaster resilient Mizoram, rooted in scientific forest management, biodiversity conservation, and community-based sustainability models.
Shri Abhijit Sharma was joined by Shri Limanuksung Longkumer, State Director, SLRD Nagaland, and Shri Francis Sailo, State Director, SLRD Mizoram, reinforcing the organization’s pan-regional commitment to Northeast India.
YesEarth brings to the table its deep expertise in climate systems, carbon credit generation, forest hydrology, and regenerative development. The meetings also addressed project financing pathways, including:
- Convergence with state and central government schemes
- Mobilization of CSR contributions
- Access to international climate finance and biodiversity conservation funds
These engagements lay the groundwork for a multi-stakeholder action plan led by YesEarth and SLRD to transform Mizoram into a model of climate resilience and green economic growth.
